Shred Francisco is Mission Dolores' after-school skate and arts club for grades 5 to 8. In Shred Francisco, students will spend the first half of the year learning fundamentals of painting in order to eventually paint their own skateboard deck.

The Spring semester will be dedicated to learning how to skateboard. Students will be given weekly tutorials on skateboarding basics and safety before going out and trying the tricks and moves themselves.
Shred Francisco aims to dispel the negative stereotypes that are often associated with skateboarders. Through the process, children will not only learn how to paint and skateboard, but also how their passions can be transformed into concrete works for the betterment of their community.
