Check with your employer to see if your company has a Matching Gifts Program. Some employers offer to match, double or even triple, gifts to a private school. This program is a splendid way to leverage your gift to the School.
Fundraising is a vital component of Mission Dolores School's learning environment.
While tuition covers approximately 70% of the School's operating budget, further efforts are needed from each of the School's families and friends to bring our dynamic educational program forward and to inspire the potential in each student.
Key components of our fundraising program include Annual Giving, the Fiesta and the annual Fall Challenge Grant. Fundraising is essential to all of our programs, we are extremely grateful to welcoming you to the Mission Dolores Family.
To learn of upcoming events, or to volunteer for any of the School's fundraising efforts, please contact Rita Franchi in the school office.
Mission Dolores School parents, alumni, grandparents, alumni parents and friends support the School through their generous contributions to Annual Giving. Annual Giving funds are used to support for faculty salaries/benefits and maintenance of the School's facilities, all of which enhance the School's outstanding program. As with other private schools, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating a student. Donations to Mission Dolores School's Annual Giving program help to make up the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating our students. We are grateful for the sustained and generous contributions of our community.
Annual Giving is a primary fundraising program for Mission Dolores School. With this program, Mission Dolores School maintains its competitive faculty salaries and benefits, purchases equipment, provides technology support and funds its outstanding programs for its students.
Voluntary support is a way you can show your commitment to Mission Dolores School and ensure that our students continue to have a superior education. In addition, when private schools apply for grants, the foundations look closely at participation figures. Foundations are more likely to support those schools with a strong record of participation from their parents, alumni and friends. Likewise, corporations tend to give support to strongly supported schools.
Mission Dolores School relies on unrestricted gifts annually to help finance its academic program. Unrestricted gifts are contributions to Annual Giving that are not designated (restricted to a specific purpose). They will be spent on operational costs including faculty salaries and benefits as well as academic programs and building maintenance.
Participation of all members of our community continues to grow, and is important to the well-being of the School. We are deeply grateful for each and every gift, regardless of its size.
The parish hosts The Annual Fiesta, we also host a Fall Challenge Grant. Both events raise money for tuition assistance, extra circular programs and faculty development programs at Mission Dolores School. If you can help with either event, please contact Rita Franchi, in the school office.
Cash - All cash gifts are fully deductible. Gifts of cash may be made to Annual Giving, which supports the day-to-day operations of the school.
Securities - With a gift of appreciated securities instead of cash, you can qualify for a tax-deduction based on the fair market value of the stock if you have held it for a year or more.
