May, 2008

Dear Sixth Grade Families:

The more we read the more knowledgeable, creative, and articulate we become. Students should read at least three books this summer from the enclosed reading list.

On the first day of school, students will bring a reading journal and cover illustration for each of the books. Attached is a format for the reading journal. Summer reading is discussed and journals displayed during the first few weeks of school
.

Sincerely,

Ms. Erin Simmeth
